“THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US” RESIDENTS SAY

Monday, September 6, 2021

Residents are beyond frustrated at the utter disregard for their concerns when it comes to property management and maintenance.

Numerous residents say they have expressed concerns to management about many long standing issues that linger with little to no appropriate response.

Many elders have experienced falling and injuring themselves. The residents feel the grounds are and have been dangerous for all.

This Saturday in the mid afternoon, another elder was a victim of falling on the property at the main entrance of her building. The collapse caused her to also loose a tooth.

Paramedics did arrive to escort her to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

These type of incidents should not be happening, nor happening so frequently.

What else can residents feel when their concerns are ignored?

They don’t care about us,” is what residents for nearly 30 years have expressed. Michael Jackson even wrote about it in his 1996 song “They Don’t Care About Us.”

That’s a long time to not care. New generations to experience the same lack of care and yet still no action where it has been asked, requested, demanded, and even died over.

The video below was captured by The Reset News of the incident on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 mid-afternoon. It comes with a warning when viewing. (***warning this video may be viewer sensitive and you are also cautioned when watching in the presence of minors***)

It it is due time for right action in underserved communities.
