THE RESET COMMUNITY CALLS ON THE COMMUNITY’S SUPPORT FOR A VETERANS OF COLOUR WALL AND MEMORIAL GARDEN
(TORONTO, ON 11.01.2021 VLPRESS) The Reset Community is calling on the community’s support to honour veterans of colour with a veterans memorial wall and garden.
Black Veterans Affair, the former name of the group made the announcement for a veteran wall and memorial garden in 2017 during the inaugural African Canadian veterans gala .
Since realizing the name Black once meant White, there should be a title that better represents our melanated veterans. As such, Black Veterans Affairs is changing its name and calls on the community for ideas.
We acknowledge that all veteran lives matter. Our goal is to highlight the contributions of our melanated veterans along side all other veterans.
