A decade ago, the Global Shapers Community was created with the mission of empowering young people by amplifying their voices around the world and enabling them to self-organize to implement projects for their local communities.
According to the World Economic Forum this global community of young change-makers, aged between 18 and 30, is taking action to improve the state of the world, one local community at a time. Global Shapers are progressing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, that serve as a blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030.

What does this mean for young people around the world especially those in developing nations? And for those people of the African diaspora in European nations?
For WEF, they say it is vital that young people are represented in important global issues; they are key stakeholders and should be central to solution-building, policy-making and effecting lasting change.
The Reset Community knows the importance in having a voice to establish #identitysolutions. It is time our community and leaders of our community including millennials to realize the need to break out of practices that no longer serve the true economic, social, spiritual and political advancements around the globe.
This can only be done by redefining the narrative. Whatever the true intentions are for WEF, their statement on the importance on youth interaction as game-changers being needed “now, more than ever, we need their energy and vision to tackle the formidable, but not insurmountable, challenges ahead” is accurate.
Global citizens and citizens of nations young and old need to be involved with the current shift and global affairs. By disrupting the directives set out for nations that continue to evade or dodge the solutions required to combat systemic racism from its root.
The conversation on what happened during colonization and its impact on a race of people who’s identity, land, culture, spiritual, family, social and political world was destroyed and replaced with one that misdirects and misrepresents the people is a must.
Many false narratives have been sold to the world in the education system, reinforced by the media and it’s time we retell our stories based on truth. This means all races need to be ready to undo and relearn what they thought they knew about the Melanin Dominant Humans known as Africans, Caribbean and Indigenous peoples.
The Reset Community offers the ability to provide communities to connect, become members as residents and as businesses. To share in solutions that can bring real change to communities, particularly underserved communities that have long been neglected and over due for real solutions to overcome the impact by colonization.
